So this week was the first WWE RAW in Mexico on tape delay. And it was not as bad as last week’s show. Not that that is saying much. We are taped and in shades of grey with WWE RAW for October 17th 2011 where Alberto Del Rio and Michael Cole take on Jim Ross and John Cena.

WWE RAW 10/17/11

John Laurinaitis is out. This promo sucked. Perhaps it was a good thing for the sake of the audience that they did not understand him, because I doubt it would have been much better in Spanish. Jim Ross came out. He got fired last week. I didn’t care. He’s back this week. I don’t care. We’ve had this song and dance way too many times before, that I stopped caring. Jim Ross will be in the ring with John Cena against Alberto Del Rio and Michael Cole. Also, Mrs. Baba’s favorite wrestler mentioned Rey Mysterio in this promo, teasing that he might be there, before revealing that he’s going to return to his doctor or something. I didn’t care.

Christian, Cody Rhodes, and Mark Henry defeated John Morrison, Sheamus, and Randy Orton.

Mark Henry destroyed Morrison with the World’s Strongest Slam for the pin. This match was fine. Six mans normally are. So yay, people wrestling each other on a wrestling show and stuff.

Bella Twins are there. Alberto Del Rio complains. There’s a pay per view this Sunday. Again. The WWE Title is going to change hands most likely, like it has on every single other Pay Per View since Money in the Bank. Belt’s useless, who cares who has it now. Put it on Michael Cole for all I care. The winner of the tag team main event picks the stipulation.

Eve Torres defeated Natalya

Divas wrestled each other and Eve won to set up a match with Beth Phoenix for the Diva’s Title at Vengeance. Yeah, same women fighting each other in various combinations for months and months on end, over the Butterfly Belt.

CM Punk defeated the Miz

The match as it was, was pretty decent. Triple H was told to go to the back, due to a problem with his work visa or some such thing. Punk pins Miz and R-Truth interferes. Two on one beatdown on CM Punk. Triple H didn’t save. Not feeling this Triple H and CM Punk partnership, after what has happened. I’m sure it has inspired many of slash fan fiction however.

Dolph Ziggler cut a promo about stuff. Jack Swagger tried to sing. Zack Ryder came out. Apparently Z! The True Long Island Story is not a big hit in Mexico.

Zack Ryder defeated Jack Swagger

Ryder scores the win on Jack Swagger with the Rough Ryder. Ziggler and Swagger put the beatdown on him, but Mason Ryan’s hair ran out and made the save. To set up a match.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Mason Ryan via disqualification.

God almighty Mason Ryan is awful. Vickie Guerrero slaps him and then he flies into pure Roid rage mode(seriously, how in the hell is this man passing the WWE Wellness Policy). Ryan gets disqualified for beating his opponent up too much, a finish that is stupid.

Jim Ross and John Cena have a moment backstage, with Cena reassuring Ross that he’s a Hall of Famer and he won’t be a liability.

John Cena and Jim Ross defeated Alberto Del Rio and Michael Cole

This match was what it was. Ross made Michael Cole submit to the ankle lock to win the match. Then John Cena laid out Alberto Del Rio and we’re going to have a Last Man Standing Match as a result at Vengeance. And that be all.

Why You Should Watch WWE RAW 10/17/11

Six man opener was decent enough, Miz vs Punk was decent. I find it hard to really muster up enough joy for this show after the show last week that killed my interest and rendered the last few months completely pointless. It’s kind of hard to get emotionally invested in a show after something like that.
