So the WWE’s new storylines are starting to take some shape but tonight is going to be very important to the direction the storylines go from here.

The WWE will have to be on top form tonight with an under card much weaker than any recent PPV’s

There are however Rumours that CM Punk may cash in his money in the bank shot tonight most likely against Edge is he does indeed beat Hardy. These Rumours came about however before the 6th and 7th matches were announced this week for the PPV.

So Lets run down the matches:

  • John Morrison vs. Shelton Benjamin:   This should be a good match if both superstars work well together as they have done in recent weeks. With a feud developing this has some edge to it but this match is clearly a filler. Expect a good display from both but a clean win for Morrison as a new baby face seems the only way to go on this one
  • CM Punk vs. Umaga:  There realy isn’t much to say about this at all. This is the weakest match on the card by far which is interesting given it features CM Punk. Punk will have to be on top of his game tonight to make umaga look good since leaving Raw umaga has been nothing but a filler. CM Punk victory i would expect
  • Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Jericho: You have to believe this will be a strong match, would have been much stronger you think if Rey had not received an injury this past week during the smackdown taping. It is because of this injury i would expect chris jericho to win however i think this result depends on where the company want to take the world title because there is no doubt that Jericho is one of the top men right now in the WWE.
  • ECW Champion Christian vs. Jack Swagger: An ECW match would normally bring a sigh and shake of the head but since the resigning of christian the ECW title has been given new life. I expect a lot from him but again this could go either way. Hope for a good match. I think Christian could be used better by the WWE which is why he may lose the title tonight.
  • John Cena vs. Big Show: The grudge match. Well i think everyone expects this to be ugly when it come to wrestling however cena had made even the likes of Kali look good in the past so this should not be his greatest test. This will probably not end cleanly as i expect this feud to continue as it hasn’t quite reached its full potential yet i don’t think. So I’m going with a DQ victory to the Big Show.
  • World Heavyweight Champion Edge vs. Jeff Hardy: Expected to be the best contest of the night. Expect near falls galore as we see two of the best go head to head. This should be a strong bout with some electrifying move. The crowd as usualy with these two will play a huge part but in the end i think edge will prove to strong on this occasion and maybe jericho will be next for edge given the exchange this past friday on smackdown
  • WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. Batista: This the probably main event but again i see this going only one way. Orton must win as the age of Orton seems to be the WWE’s big push at the moment and he does deserve a long run. The quality of this match will depend on what the two come up with between the bells rather that how they finish as it will probably be a DQ victory to Orton or off an interference. These two have the class but it remains to be seen weather they can deliver the goods on a big stage together. But this has all the potentials of a classic if done rite.

This is a big test for the WWE as with the big gun’s of HHH HBK and The undertaker missing it is vital that the new leader step up. Eyes on Orton Edge Jericho and Cena tonight as there are the ones you expect to do well but Hardy Mysterio and Christian may take a huge step forward tonight.

This is Muzzy..Signing off
