Wrestler Chris Benoit Was Found Dead

Usually, WWE seems fake to me when I watch it on television, but recently something terrible has happened: Wrestler Chris Benoit and his family have been found dead.

It was June 25, 2007 when my father called me from his job around 7:54 pm. He asked me to record the wrestling for him. I really didn’t feel like it because I don’t watch it anymore. Wrestling is not as good as it was to me back in the days of “The American Dream Dusty Rhodes“. I was trying to find a full tape so that I could record the commercials. Just before the tape stopped rewinding, I saw a still picture of wrestler Chris Benoit. The show was in memory of him, and it was WWE that aired a three hour tribute to him.

When WWE first came on, I saw Vince McMahon in the ring holding a microphone, and there was no audience. He told the news on television that there were some dead bodies found. It was the wrestler Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy, and his son Daniel. I thought, “The show is no fake tonight.” This was very sad news to me, and I did not know the man and his family. Chris Benoit and his family were found dead in their home. Police are investigating. You can find out more at

.

Still in shock, I called my father to give him the sad news. He was very disappointed. I called my brother because he likes wrestling too. He thought it might be fake. I told him that I didn’t think that they would fake about a wrestler dying on television like that. I read the Google news to him on the internet, and we both knew then for sure that the wrestling was no show that time. It was and is still a very terrible tragedy.

I just finished reading your article. I really liked it Gail. Isn’t that something how we had the same idea? :)

Yea, and that’s good. Even though I don’t watch wrestling now, I use to. We seem to have the same interest in certain shows and movies.

I don’t really watch it the way that I used to either. I try to keep up with it, but I don’t watch it the same way anymore. I like to watch the old wrestling matches on the tapes that I have.

I think that’s great that we have similar interests in shows and movies. :)

i think wrestlers must be investigated every time ,from their homes backrounds and at work backrounds ,they must get special psychologist to give them proffesional counselling from work and at home and some people they do it with heart if they lose they become angry for themselves and if he experiences family problems is like he is forgotten then he think bad.

Johnson, check out the dvd titled “The Dusty Rhodes Story”. It is pretty good. I got it from Wal-Mart. The video store can order it for you too if it is not available.

Flora, they have fame and money. They have everything. When people don’t live right, they can’t think right. Everything becomes their god and they loose everything in the end. They are lucky if they don’t loose their souls.

In all the years I have watched wrestling Chris Benoit was one of my all time favorites to watch and I think it really sucks that they don’t even have a picture of him in the line up of WWE Superstars, he has only been gone a little over 1 week and there are no photos of him……

Don’t worry, Claudia. When we make fame and fortune, it won’t last forever. The most important thing is that we will be remembered by God and make it into his kingdom. People will remember you for a little while, they might shed a few tears, but they are going to live on without you. There are some that will never forget you. But when this life is over, we won’t be remembered as a great athlete or anything else. People in hell especially won’t remember. They will be too busy burning. We won’t need the fame and fortune then. We can’t take it with us when we die, and we probably wouldn’t want it. It can be a lot of pressure and loneliness.

This was a good article and I enjoyed reading it. I like how you were able to give it a personal touch too. I no longer like wrestling for the same reason. They go too far with tricks, gimmicks and sensationalism.

Darlene, I agree with you. Glad you enjoyed reading my article. It’s true they go too far. Wrestling seemed real in the old days and more exciting.
