Will The WWE Allow an African-American to be Champion?
Have you ever wondered why the WWE has never let an african american win the WWF/WWE title?

I have been an avid wrestling fan since the early 80’s. As a child I would go to the arena and help the wrestling crew set up the ring just to get a free hat, t-shirt, or even free admisson. I’ve seen some of the most gruesome matches that you can imagine. I’m talking about matches where the wrestlers truly bled. With the great matches from the all wrestlers in america, why haven’t then the WWF and Now the WWE allowed a black champion? I began to notice this when The wrestler now known as “BIG DADDY V” the first african-american to win the King of the Ring.I believe that every person before him, that was “King of the Ring”, got a chance to wrestle for the WWE heavyweight title and won. One way Vince tried to smooth things over with people of color, is when he bought the WCW organization. He brought the titles to the WWE and made them lesser titles than the WWE title belts, and then allowed Booker T. to win a title he won in a totally different company. I will assume that Vince was trying to please the african americans by allowing Teddy Long to call him a “cracker”
What vince didn’t know is that not all african americans consider that word “cracker” cool, and that it is certainly a racist comment to make whether skit or not. I know George Jefferson, Archie Bunker, and Fred sanford used it to be comical, but it was indeed racist. I’m sure Vince wanted the African americans to warm up the John Cena. Vince even addressed John cena saying “what’s up my nigga”. I have no problem with john Cena. He’s a talented wrestling entertainer, and actor. But he’s not black. The wrestler formerly known as “The Rock”, has a pacific islander background. Tony Atlas, Ernie Ladd, Ron Simmons, Big Daddy V, Junk Yard Dog, were all qualified to wear the coveted title. we have african american, congress persons, governors, and a african american president. I’m not sure if wrestling fans have noticed or will notice this slight problem with the WWE brand of wrestling. If they do the revenue will drop drastically, thus giving Mr. McMahon the Ultimatum give us a black champion or go broke!
