Once upon a time there was a teenager named Bill. Bill was the captain of the wrestling team, class president, and very dedicated to everything he participated in. He was used to staying up all night working on projects, running and lifting before and after practice, and working a job on the weekends. Individual district championships were approaching soon for Bill and it was his senior year. His ultimate goal by the end of his high school career was to qualify for the state championship; only 16 wrestlers for each weight class could qualify in each state.

Bill wrestled the 160lb weight class most of the season, but he decided that he would need to cut down to the 152lb weight class by districts if he had any shot at states. Bill had two weeks to get to his goal of weighing 152lbs and the only thing stopping him was 8lbs. He hadn’t weighed 152lbs since freshmen year. One day as Bill was running another wrestler, Jimmy Stealer, drove by in his Mustang. Jimmy beat Bill last year at districts and ruined Bill’s chances of going to states; there was no way Bill was letting this happen again. Jimmy was the “rich kid” of the town and most people believed Hugh Hefner was his father due to the fact that Jimmy  was hanging out with so many hot women. Jimmy was from Stone High School and Bill was from George Carver High School. The two schools were rivals in almost every sport, especially wrestling. Stone High School also beat George Carver in the playoffs for football this year. Ever since Jimmy placed 3rd at the state championship last year, he thinks he runs the town. Billy knows he can’t beat Jimmy so he planned on cutting down to 152lbs so they won’t be in the same weight class as Jimmy.

Bill ran for an hour every day before school, before practice, and after practice. He dieted and usually ate nothing but salad and lean meats. There was just 3 days until districts and Bill weighed 155lbs. While in school Bill’s nose began to bleed uncontrollably and he decided to go home. When Bill got home he went into the kitchen to get a glass of water when “classhhhh!” The glass of water fell to the floor along with Bill. Bill passed out then 20 minutes later his mom arrived home to see him lying there. She called the ambulance immediately. When the ambulance arrived they took Bill to the hospital.

“What happened?” said Bill as he awoke. The nurse replied, “Your body. You’ve been working too hard and your body fat is too low. We injected you with fatty foods so your body can repair itself. You should be able to go home by tonight.” “You did what? No! I have districts coming up! I’m not losing to Jimmy again!” “Bill it’s too late. Your body has already absorbed the foods.” When Bill arrived later that night he weighed himself “161! There’s no way I’ll lost 9 pounds in less than 3 days!”  Bill began intense training the next day hoping that he could slim down by districts.

The day of districts as Bill walked into the building, the first person he seen was Jimmy Stealer.  “What’s up Bill? Ready for another ass whooping this year?” said Jimmy conceitedly. Jimmy weighed in at 160lb that day and was ready to dominate in the 160lb weight class. Bill went to weigh in. He weighed in naked in hope that he could make 152 lbs. Bill weighed in at 156lbs and had no choice but to wrestle at the 160lb weight class. As Bill stepped off the scale he passed out again. Later on that night Bill awoke at the hospital again with the same nurse in the room as last time. Bill instantly grabbed his phone on the table and seen that he had a text message from his coach. The text read:

Sorry your senior year was ruined. The whole team and many other people knew you would qualify for states. The athletic trainer wouldn’t let you wrestle because you blacked out before you even wrestled. Get well soon! Oh yeah, and Jimmy Stealer didn’t take first place! He got injured his first match when he went for a takedown and sprained his ankle.
