Okay, to all you WWE marks out there; let’s take a real good look at the elephant in the room. You could almost sense the collective wet dream in the WWE Universe when the name Daniel Bryan was announced as the seventh man on team WWE this past Sunday at Summer Slam. You all are happy that the man no longer has to toil away in the Indies and is now made the big time. But in doing so, haven’t they blown up one of the biggest story angles that the WWE has tried in a very long time.

Let’s face a few facts. Whatever back story they put in after the fact doesn’t negate the fact Danielson was fired for choking the ring announcer and spitting in John Cena’s face. He didn’t have a change of heart about what the nexus was doing. He was a good little soldier who did what he was told and for that his career and livelihood got derailed for a few months. So how does it make sense that he comes back on the side of the people that through him under the bus.

And what about all the hype that just fell flat. There was no big heel turn. The Anom General Manager wasn’t revealed as the puppet master to this whole mess. Once again in true WWE creative fashion, they fall back on Super Cena to save the day. Please stop me if this is all getting old for you too.

While Summer Slam was in my opinion laying a huge brown egg, the other guys have been not so quietly making a little headway with their Glorified Indy Show. TNA have had steady increases in their weekly TV numbers.  The buy rates for PPV’s have still been bad but the ones for the Hardcore Justice haven’t come out yet. They have Flair coming in with a new faction called Fortune who will be feuding with the EV2.0 guys so that should be interesting. By the end of the show tonight they will be well into a tournament to crown a new champ for the vacated TNA championship.

I have said it before and Ill say it again , while both sides are really not putting out the best product they can , It is starting to be clear to a lot more people that TNA at the very least is making the much better effort at every thing. Right now it’s hard for me to watch the WWE and another interesting point has come to my attention. It’s slowly starting to leak out who is going to be going to Smack Down when it moves to SY FY Oct 1. I think that they have so front loaded Raw that when they have to move people off Raw and back to Smack Down. Raw is going to Suffer.

In the end, this is or at least should be good for the wrestling fan. If there is more competition, then things should be getting better. All I have to say is that if the numbers continue up, I want to see what the WWE says when TNA hits their first 2.0.
