Been away for a while dealing with some personal things . Trying to get my life back on the right track and I have let a few things go. Things are really popping on the TNA side of the coin and I think my two cents worth is a little over do.

A day after the most recent Pay per view show , it was reported that someone called “Bubba The Love Sponge” radio show and asked to have his voice “ Protected” . he then began weaving a tail of how Karen Angle , ex wife to TNA star Curt Angle , had moved in with TNA Founder Jeff Jarrett . The caller said that he worked on the lot were the weekly show was taped but wouldn’t ID himself.

It later comes out that Dixie Carter had sent Jeff home and he is either suspended or on some kind of leave of absence . All of this has set of all kind of wild speculation that Jarrett was on his way out. Either Dixie was going to fire him or buy him out of his stake in the company. Some of Jarrett’s cronies on the creative staff have already been let go. Dutch Mantel was given his walking papers last week and Road agent and ex WWE star Savio Vega was also sown the door.

The creative team now consists of Vince Russo and Matt Conway. The last two Impact tapings were all Russo, which based on recent history may or may not be a good thing. The numbers are good but Russo Unfiltered by Jarrett is is train wreck TV waiting to happen.

There has also been a great deal of net talk about approaching ECW guru Paul Heyman. Pluses to this idea would be it would drive Vince nuts, he is more then capable of taking TNA to the next level under the right set of circumstances, and finally seeing what he could do on a more level playing field with the WWE would peek a lot of interest on both sides. The minuses are, there is still a lot of bad blood between Heyman and some of the ex ECW original stars like team 3D over the mishandling of ECW, Jarrett still has a few people that are loyal to him so they would undoubtedly lose some people , and lets face despite his ability in certain areas of the business, he did fail to get ECW through the Monday night wars. I say split the difference and hire him as a consultant . That way he can offer his two cents and you don’t have to take it if you don’t want to. It would be a real mistake not to at least seek out Heyman for his opinions on things.

In my opinion , the one guy waiting in the wings that could end up with the most power is Talent relations director Terry Taylor . A veteran of both the ring and back stage , Taylor has been working for TNA for a while and has been the one handling contract negotiations for the past year. Taylor is in perfect position to take the reins with little or no grief from anyone who matters.
