This past Monday on Raw, yet another pointless exercise in what passes for the creative process in the WWE was broadcast on the USA Network. I haven’t seen the numbers yet but the way this Angle is starting to get stale, I can’t imagine they are all that good.

The hero of course was played once again by John Cena. Good enough for lonely women and the twelve and under crowd, but a hero who’s act has grown lame. While I realize that there are kids in the crowd, the kids didn’t buy the tickets, drive to the arena, pay for Parking, concessions and the Merchandise that Vince loves to have Cena Wear. It was their parents who did all that. A big flaw in the WWE‘s Marketing strategy is that love of this business called wrestling is many times Generational. It something that Parents remember when they were kids and they want to share with their own children. It is like they ignore their own demographics at times just to prove that they can.

I really hate to poo poo the only creative thing they have done in months and I have to read the marks say how great it is and how TNA is just rehashing the ECW invasion I just come close to throwing this thing in a river some where. Yeah they are rehashing ECW, but this Nexus thing is just the repackaging of the N W O invasion. Come on people, the only way they are going to get any better is if we hold their feet to the fire on a few things. If rehashing ECW will get Heyman off of the Sidelines and back into the game, the Hash away.

The guest host did a big old leap over the WWE Shark this past Monday when of all people ,Florence Henderson guest hosted a segment booking an eight man Tag Team with Santino and his Bunch vs. Regal and his Bunch . Carol Brady was making out with the “Punjabi” playboy really was the highlight of this whole segment. Apparently , they still want to keep doing them but after Santino’s bunch what’s next , Alan Alda will host and they will do some sort of Mash thing.
While I don’t usually do spoilers in this Blog , there is a little blurb about the TNA taping where at the end of the show for the twenty second , Dixie officially turns the keys to the Hard Justice PPV over to Dreamer and his Merry band of Extremists. Evidently they are going to do it like the old “One Night Stand” that helped reliance ECW until Vince just Killed it. Okay we knew it was coming, so what do we do now beat it into the ground or take a chance that it might help TNA get its feet up and running.
Sticking with TNA for a second longer, I was quite surprised to hear that Lisa Marie Varon was the person in the Motorbike helmet and black leather out fit. She should have stayed gone since while she was gone the whole Knockout Division has gutted beyond all hope. If I where her I’d still knocking on the WWE’s door as quick as I could.
Finally , congrats to the Phenomenal AJ Styles for winning the top 500 from Pro wrestling illustrated for 2010. He is the first TNA wrestler to grab the number one slot in the magazines twenty year history. Well I might go for three this week so keep your eyes peeled.
