The past couple of weeks has seen Jake The Snake whip his d out at an Indy show and then claiming he was drugged and then Jeff Hardy being to drunk at eleven in the morning to get on a plane in Nashville to go home. All I got to say on these two stories is what else is new. The Snake has been a lost cause for years and theres nothing to indicate that he is willing to change. Jeff Hardy is another story entirely . Once again Hardy is on the verge of greatness and still is trying to ruin it . Both Hardy’s have traveled a long hard road to get to where they are today and now is not the time to show up to drunk to get on an airplane. If you should read this anytime soon, its coming from one of your biggest fans. Don’t screw this up, every thing you have worked for in your life is about to come true. This pathological need to stand at the edge of disaster and flip it off wont help you now.
For those of you that have read my blogs know that I have been quite critical of the WWE Woman’s division in general and the Diva division in particular. Well I think their starting to figure it out . Throwing money at Gail Kim was a start. Now on Smackdown they have this new Diva, Brie Bella , she’s beaten Victoria two weeks in a row. Last week she asked Maria to design two identical ring outfits for her .while Natalya and Victoria argued with the both of them. Now the October issue of WWE Magazine has a feature about the FCW promotion that featured a group photo of its stars including Brie and her twin sister Nicole hiding under the ring. Wow , talk about the marketing machine totally screwing up the creative end. See this is why thing s break down on the creative side when it clashes with the machine. Pro Wrestling Illustrated released their top fifty women of the year . The top ten breaks down like this WWE has five , TNA has three including number one , and the Indy’s have three. Kong is number one and given her impact on the business this year, people need to take notice. The biggest surprise in the top ten in my opinion is Roxxi Laveaux coming in at seven. She’s had some hard core matches with Kong and she was willing to shave her head, I just wasn’t aware that she was getting over with the crowds all that much. Well with Kim gone , Roxxi will definitely get a bigger push .
Curt Angle , in a Sun Interview says that TNA is running to many gimmick matches and they need to tone them down. I think he’s completely full of S and he should shut the hell up and deal with his own problems . Gimmick matches that TNA does help set itself apart from the WWE. Reinventing the ladder match , scaffold match, cage match , and coming up with something like the Ultimate X is what has put them on the map and for one of their big stars , who wasn’t there when every thing got started , doesn’t need to make public statements about what they are doing wrong.
Strange goings on with easy E , Eric Bischoff and his quest to start up a new promotion. he has been in preliminary talks with CMT, the same network that is doing Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity reality wrestling show. Add to this , Brooke Hogan said in an interview that she thinks her dad is getting into ring shape. Bill Goldberg also getting into ring shape and will also make an appearance on Hogan’s show. Add to this the fact that Rob Van Dam is available and he is making an appearance on the show as well, you can see a pattern starting to form. This is a huge risk and Bischoff doesn’t have the resources that he had in the WCW days, but lets be clear about one thing, this is the man who came the closest to toppling the evil empire so don’t think for a moment that he can’t pull this off.
Well that’s all for now. Ill try to get something to get something up later in the week.
