The numbers are in and despite the Lame ass way they pulled the plug on the whole storyline , this past Monday Night Raw was a Ratings bonanza . This past Monday drew a 4.5 , way up from the previous weeks three hour “Three For All” 3.7 . The fact that Trump “sold” the show back to Vince may have been prompted by the fact when the sale was first announced a week ago , there was a 13% sell off in WWE stock and this may have constituted some sort of securities violation. In any case , the whole idea really wasn’t going to solve their long term problems . People are just tired of the same old matches , Cena and the Big Show, HHH vs. Orton . The most interesting feud they have gooing on right know is Kofi Kingston vs. MVP and Matt Hardy for the U.S. Title . Kofi has gotten over big with the crowds and star is on the rise . Speaking of Orton and HHH , having a last man standing match end in a draw is just Wrong . I get that they are trying this three stages of Hell match this Sunday , but ending in a draw really doesn’t do that. They should have had legacy do a run in and cause HHH to lose .

The main Pay per View for TNA , Slammavirsery was this pas t Sunday and it was one of the better ones from either company in a while . From the Kamikaze X division to a coed Monsters Ball where Taylor Wilde stepped up and elevated the entire Knockout Division with her, to the major swerve at the when Samoa Joe Handed the TNA title to Kurt Angle on top of the ladder . The show after cemented the fact that Joe was in , Kurt was running things again and Sting was out . This coupled with the fact TNA is now pitching another show to Spike TV , this indicates what I have said all a long. TNA is positioning themselves to make a move and cut into the WWE ‘s fan base.

It seems that the WWE is getting the idea that the internet is a tool that they can use to their advantage sometimes . Apparently the whole thing with Flair making appearances on Raw and the rumor that he was about to be names general manager of the show was a false plant by them to catch internet leaks on their end. Another one has been the leaking Ratings for show to the media. Before 2002 this wasn’t a big deal , but since Wrestle Mania 18 when the numbers started to dip, it was forbidden to release any TV numbers. As of yet , no word on whether it worked .

Smack Down creative team is going to have to make some moves in the very near future . With Punk holding the belt and playing the tweener role right now until Jeff Hardy decides whether he is taking some time off. If Hardy Stays , Punk is most likely a Heel , if Hardy goes , its open to debate . Punk promo work has been great so far but if he goes Heel with Hardy Gone then you have three Main event Heels and only one Face , Rey Mysterio . They would have to have Punk be a face to balance things out. Not to mention the fact the fact that Edge and Punk have been working hurt and its being said that edge is not in really good shape right now. The long and short of it is , the match this Sunday will go along way toward how things will play out over next few months.

And now for my predictions for Sunday .

The Colons are taking on Legacy in a unified tag team champion ship match and you have to like Legacy in this one . They already have a non title win over the brothers and its time for a change. John Cena vs. the Miz you would think be a no brainer but I think that the Big Show will get a piece of Cena . The Great Khali goes up against Dolph Ziggler to settle their long running feud and I see Khali taking this one. The Intercontinental belt is up for grabs in a belt vs. Mask Match against Jericho. Rey wins this one , I don’t think that the WWE wants to take this unmasking thing any further then it already has . Melina against Michelle McCool is an interesting pick because they have been talking a lot about McCool and Mickie James being the first to hold both the Diva’s and Woman’s Belts so I think that that is an issue that might come up on Summer Slam . Melina wins this one . The ECW scramble match I’m going with Finlay just because he is getting the biggest push right now . Orton will beat HHH yet again and the last one well I got to go with Hardy even though logic dictates that Punk will defend the belt .
