In my previous column Wrestlers Who Have Been Arrested, I told you about the wrestlers who have been arrested.  In this article, I’m going to tell you about some of the others who have been arrested.  I will let you know upfront that one of the wrestlers’ rap sheet reads like a laundry list.

Test

For those of you who may not remember Test, he was once involved in a storyline with Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.  Test was arrested twice for driving under the influence.  He was booked into jail both times, but was released on bail.

Another tidbit about Test is that he died this year.  I was completely shocked because I didn’t hear anything about this until I did my research for wrestlers who have been arrested.

Scott Steiner

Scott Steiner’s first arrest was in 1999.  He threatened a Department of Transportation worker after he told Steiner that an exit ramp was closed.  Steiner hit the worker twice with his pickup.  Did Steiner think he was hitting a crash test dummy?  He’s lucky he didn’t kill the worker.  Scott pled guilty to aggravated assault as well as making terrorist threats.  He spent 10 days in jail and was sentenced to seven years probation.  He also had to pay a $25,000 fine and had to perform 200 hours of community service.  He got off easy considering what he did to the worker.

That wasn’t enough for Scott.  He was arrested again for assaulting an EMT.  Scott was arrested the day after he assaulted the EMT.  The assault was supposed to be part of a WCW event, but the EMT wasn’t a paid actor.  The charges were eventually dropped.

Stone Cold Steve Austin

Stone Cold Steve Austin was arrested on August 14, 2002 for domestic abuse.  He hit his wife Debra Marshall who appeared with him in the WWE.  He pled no contest on November 25, 2002 and was given a year’s probation, $1,000 fine, and ordered to carry out 80 hours of community service. Needless to say, they eventually got divorced.

Jerry Lawler

Jerry Lawler was arrested twice.  Once was in 1993 for raping and sodomizing a 15-year-old girl.  She later admitted to lying about the rape.  That allegation could have ruined Lawler’s career.

The second arrest was in 1999 for throwing a ticket at a police officer and running over the officer’s foot.  Since Jerry did that to a cop, he was lucky that he was released.

Fatu

Fatu was arrested for failure to appear at a court hearing.  He was supposed to be in court, but he was touring with the WWE at the time.  Fatu stayed in jail until his hearing in federal court.  His arrest was kept under wraps.  I guess Vince McMahon was going to make sure this arrest stayed under radar since he’s why Fatu missed his court date.  I’ve read that Vince McMahon puts the wrestlers through it when they miss a match.

Lex Luger

Lex Luger was arrested quite a bit.  The first arrest happened on April 19, 2003.  He was involved in a domestic dispute with Elizabeth aka Miss Elizabeth.  He was charged with a misdemeanor count of battery and released on a $2,500 bond.

His second arrest happened on April 21, 2003 when he was arrested for DUI after he hit another car.  Luger’s speech was slurred.  He had bloodshot eyes and he couldn’t find his driver’s license.  When the police searched his car, they found a 9 mm handgun. Luger was also driving with a suspended license after not appearing in court.

He was arrested when the police found numerous drugs in his house on May 2, 2003.  He was charged with 14 drug possession counts, 13 of them felonies.  He was released on $27,000 bail.  He was given an $11,000 fine, sentenced to five years probation, and required to submit to periodic drug testing.

Luger was arrested once again in 2005 because he didn’t get permission to leave the country from his parole officer.  He was in jail for two weeks before being sentenced to nine weeks in prison.

That’s all for now.  Stay tuned for more arrests.

I really enjoyed reading through this entire column. It’s a brilliant follow up to the last column. I was also stunned that Test died earlier this year. My nephew really liked him. I don’t know why they are all dropping like a deck of cards. So many arrests aswell. I think they have short tempers and get aggravated quickly (something that should be confined in the ring, being professionals). It’s such a entertaining read that I read it several times and will be reading it time and again for future reference. Thanks very much for sharing this! SUPERB!!

I didn’t know so many of them were arrested. I would think that because they are wrestlers, that would help them to get rid of some of their furstrations and whatever is going on inside. I see that it does no good.
