Hopes N Dreams
This is about my dream of one day becoming a Professional Wrestler.

When I was just a baby my father would rock me to sleep while he watched Professional Wrestling on a Saturday night. It was NWA Wrestling and it was so fun to watch, of course I do not remember really any of the names from when I was a baby, I do know some of the names from that time frame though. Tully Blanchard, Dusty Rhodes, Terry and Dory Funk Jr., Ric Flair, I could go on and on. Getting a tad bit older some of the names were Sting, Lex Luger, Dr. Death Steve Williams, and the Great Mutah. I remember when I was 8 years old my father took me to my first Wrestling event. It was NWA Saturday Night at the Tallahassee, Fl. Civic Center. The Match I remember most is Dr. Death vs. Barry Windham. We were sitting mid ring, front row and the crowd was electric. When the match was under way, it did not take long for Barry to throw Dr. Death out of the ring. He landed right in front of us with his back against the guard rail. I leaned forward and patted him on the Shoulder saying “Go get him Dr. Death, Go get him.” and that’s exactly what he did, he got back in the ring and tossed Windham over the top ring rope. My foot was under the guard rail and Windham’s head hit my foot, so I kicked his head, not very hard and my mom slapped my leg saying “Don’t do that!” and at that time Dr. Death was outside picking Barry up and he gave me his patented Thumbs up and smile before getting back in the ring and hitting Windham with his “Oklahoma Stampede.” That was Dr. Death’s Finishing move, a devastating football tackle. The crowd went nuts and as I stood and cheered and applauded something in my head clicked and I have wanted to be a Professional Wrestler since that time in 1988. Lets fast forward to 2005, I had just gotten out of the Military, and found a Professional Wrestling School to attend but could not afford it. I was horrible with money and my credit was horrible, I could not get a loan to save my life. Any time I had a bit of money saved up I had to spend it on automobile repairs or I would pay off some of my debt to try and fix my credit. I am in a better spot today than then how ever and at 31 years old I still plan on becoming a Professional Wrestler one day even if it is just that I graduate Professional Wrestling School and that as far as it goes for me, at least I would have done it. My credit is getting better and I now am using Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University budget plan. It works and I have not been negative in my bank account for a few years now and all of my bills are getting paid on time every time. The whole point of this article is that you should never give up on your dreams, work hard and make them a reality, I know I will do it, Hopefully you do the same.
