Edge was a very skilled wrestler but his proved that in No Way Out in 2009. It is really weird how he entered the WWE Champion, but walked out as the World Heavyweight Champion. Wearing the two world championships in the same event, it was just a moment to remember.
The first match on the card was the Elimination Chamber for the WWE Championship. As champion, he has a very small chance of retaining the championship since he was the first to start up the match against Jeff Hardy. In just three short minutes, Edge was pinned, and was shocked after being the first one to be eliminated, and ultimately lost his WWE Championship. The Elimination Chamber match and the WWE Championship later was won by Triple H.

He did not want to come out of the event as the loser, so he planned, and managed to attack Kofi Kingston, one of the participants of the World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber match. Then, before the match begin, although not one of the official participants, Edge locked himself inside one of the pods, signalling that he had became one of the participants of the match. In the match, Edge eliminated the champion John Cena after Cena was hit by three finishers, a codebraker, followed by a 619, and touching it up with a spear. After Jericho was eliminated by Mysterio, reversing the Wall of Jericho, a submission maneuver invented by Jericho himself, it was just Edge and Mysterio left. Unfortunately for Mysterio, Edge hit him with a spear, and pinned him, ultimately made Edge not just the winner but also the new World Heavyweight Champion.
