Wilson 20x Next Tennis Racket

New Wilson tennis racket coming in 2010.

As you may already know, Federer is changing his racket in 2010. The new racket will become called neXt or something like Xcode or Xfactor or Xpower, or maybe Wilson BLX you decide. In the Wilson promotion video, it only shows the side-view of the new racket. The racket doesn’t look much different from the [K]factor, so Wilson might have changed the internal features of the racket.  A few nano particles here and there. Some X powder here and there to improve control and power. The difference between neXt and [K]factor will be very small. No matter what Wilson calls it, the racket is basically the same as [K]factor with maybe more paints. I hope the new racket could be a bit lighter and with a bigger sweat spot.

Federer has shanked many shots with the [K]factor, so Wilson definitely has made some changes to decrease the chance of Federer shanking the ball. One thing would be a bigger head and absorb shock much better. Other than this, there is nothing much Wilson could do.  Also, more power might be added.

Overall, the racket will be something new and old at the same time. I think it’s fun to think about what will come and predict it. Hope Federer could use the new racket to win many more Grand Slams!

Update!

It is now official that Federer’s racket will be called Wilson blx Six-One Tour 90.

The new line of rackets will be able to block frequency bad to your body.

Another update!

This is what the new Federer racket looks like. Some people think it has two many colors, but I think it’s alright.

The new line of rackets now have volcanic basalt in them.
