The upcoming French Open and Wimbledon tennis events will once again showcase the brilliance and world domination of the brilliant Rafael Nadal.

The upcoming French Open and Wimbledon Grand Slam tennis events will once again prove to be very exciting indeed. Rafael Nadal will be defending his title in both events. Nadal, the undisputed King of Clay, will be looking to break another record if he wins the French Open again. It will be his fifth title and will cement his Number One world ranking even further. He defied the critics last year when he won Wimbledon, a surface which is less familiar to Nadal. This proves his versatility as a true champion and shows he is more than a clay court specialist. He proved this further when he won The Australian Open in January this year. This was another Grand Slam event. His combination of winning shots, both from the baseline and at the net, have proved to be a winning formula for Nadal.

The Australian Open was the most exciting tennis event in a long time. Nadal was pushed to the limit in every sense of the word and was truly deserving of the Championship Title in the end.Gaining victory over Roger Federer in a Grand Slam event was a huge accomplishment for Nadal and very deserving. His humble nature and charming good looks continue to win him fans from all over the world.

Wimbledon is set to be another captivating experience for the milliions of tennis fans around the globe. With Nadal winning on surfaces other than clay, the event is to be watched with much anticipation. Nadal fans, myself included, will be hoping for a second consecutive win. Nadal is carrying very high expectations as he is the defending Wimbledon Champion for 2009. The grandeur of Wimbledon, and the exquisite line-up of players, makes this the most cherished of the Grand Slam events. With so much history behind these Championships,Nadal can look forward to creating even more history if he wins this year.

Roger Federer has long been the player to beat in Nadal’s world and these days Nadal is proving to be the more formidable foe. Having claimed the Number One ranking from Federer, Nadal has proved that he is worthy and deserving of his current ranking. Having played the underdog to Federer for the past number of years, it’s great to finally see Nadal rise to the occasion. His relentless passion and energy for the game make him irresistible to watch. Having the ability to break his opponents both mentally and physically, from start to finish,puts him in a class of his own. Nadal never gives up until he has won the final point. And so it should be.

With so much ahead of him, and so much more history to create, Nadal and his fans can face the future with much optimism and high expectation. Go Nadal!
