Followers of Federer vs. Nadal find refuge in this year’s US Open after a failed match-up on Wimbledon. Rafael Nadal is back and ready to prove that his 2-month absence is worth slipping from 1st seeded to 3rd. The road to the title would not be a giveaway though; Roger Federer would have to first face Novak Djokovic, as Rafael Nadal with Andy Murray. Let’s not forget about Andy Roddick too; he will have the crowd behind him and he will seek retribution from the heartbreaking, 16-14 fifth set loss against Federer at Wimbledon.
Grand Slams are known to have a mix of action, drama, and a great deal of upsets. No best predictions as to who would win can be made when the group of players are as great as the ones mentioned. Only one thing is for certain – another epic match will soon emerge.

Great article again Lani. Well here is my take on this. I definitely would like to have a Federer vs Nadal finals but it seems unlikely. After a 2 month layoff, I think Nadal is not in tip top shape unlike last year when he won both the French Open and Wimbledon (although it made him tired when he played in the US Open). Let’s not forget that hard court is his least favorite surface because it is faster as compared to clay and grass which gives him little time to set-up his money shot, the forehand top spin.
But I really hope that they meet again in the finals which for sure will be another epic battle.
Thanks Paolo! I too would love to see another Federer-Nadal match, but I’m not certain if this year’s US Open is the venue for that. Aside from Nadal’s injuries, it also seems that Federer’s forehand might pose a problem… We’ll see.
This is what i’d love to see!! i’m scared of andy murray! hahah
I’m still hopeful that the finals would be between them. Andy Murray is good too, but he has to be really, really good (and lucky) to oust either of the two living legends. He shouldn’t be in a hurry, he will have his turn.
This years final is going to be so exciting no matter who is in it!!! I’ve missed a couple of matches but I’ve been able to keep updated with Prince Tennis’s facebook page (www.facebook.com/official.prince.tennis). Been testing my tennis IQ on it too
