Behind LeSean McCoy not many people even know the running backs of the Eagles which is no real surprise, Dion Lewis the number two back played in less than 50 snaps last season behind McCoy and Ronnie Brown who left in free agency. But even behind McCoy and Lewis the Eagles have solid depth.

King Roger hands down his ridiculous and meaningless punishment and all the borderline NFL fans are happy. At the same time all the media is saying the right thing. If you have a fraction of a brain you know nothing changed in the way NFL coaches and players will go about business other than choose their words more carefully. Bounties will live on. Donovan McNabb after just six starts with Minnesota was benched in favor of rookie Christian Ponder who has struggled to put up similar numbers to McNabb since, but six games after his benching he’s an unrestricted free agent released by his team. Vince Young was signed to back-up Mike Vick yet has struggled horribly throwing just four tds and nine ints in Vick’s absence althought prior to his injury people were questioning the Eagles dumping yet another starting quarterback. As for DeSean Jackson and Joe Webb? Jackson was arguably half heartedly playing against Seattle on Thursday barely even jogging certain routes and ignoring a heated Vince Young, while Joe Webb watches as two quarterbacks were brought in to replace him and both have struggled.

Things haven’t quite worked out that way coming into week 12. The Patriots are cruising right now but started a bit slowly, and areone of several strong contenders in the AFC. The Eagles of course had an absolutely miserable start to theyear and are just barely hangingon to the tiniest hopes of a playoff berth.
