It’s Saturday afternoon and I, like many other English people will be looking forward to going along to support my favourite football club. But I will not going to a Premier League or Football League encounter; my destination will be to a Non League match. So why do I have a preference to watch this lower level of football.

Why would anyone follow a team in the National League System? I’ll be taking a look at why I and people like me, follow football teams that are in the lower leagues of the English Football League Pyramid.
