On the first Tuesday of November each year, the Emirates Melbourne Cup race takes place at 3:00pm. The Melbourne Cup is the world’s most famous and challenging horse race. It’s the day that almost all Australians place a bet. The Cup is the highlight of the Spring Racing Carnival and is hosted by the Victoria Racing Club on the Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne.
