The First Olympics
The Summer Olympics 1896, officially known as the Games of the I Olympiad, were the first Olympics of the modern era, held in Athens, Greece, birthplace of the Games of antiquity between six and 15 April 1896 with the participation of 241 male athletes representatives from fourteen countries.
