Michael Phelps

Michael Phelps is one of the hardest working athletes alive.  He won Sportsman of the year this year.  This was because of all his major accomplishments in the past year.  He was the most deserving person for the award.  His deserving can be shown through his dedication, accomplishments, and character.

Michael Phelps has trained in Baltimore for most of his career as a swimmer.  He wakes up early every morning and practices as hard as he can.  He also fit his diet to work with his practice regimen.  Every time he does this, it is with an intensity not matched by most sportsmen.  He has dedicated his life to this training. 

He is now one of the best sportsmen to live.  He has many accomplishments including 8 gold medals and 7 world records in Beijing.  He is a versatile swimmer and performs in many different swims.  When he was 15 in his first Olympics he was the youngest person in 68 years to go into the Olympics.  He is the most decorated Olympian of all time.

Michael is a humble person.  He accepts all his awards without bragging.  He has been a good winner.  He also accepted a DUI charge with the same attitude as he had his medals.  This shows the true character he demonstrates.

Michael Phelps had demonstrated great dedication, accomplishments, and character.  He worked as hard as possible to be the best he could be.  He won a lot of medals at the Olympics because of his dedication.  He also accepted his accomplishments whether they were good or bad because of his character.
