Some of of us dog-lovers out there perfer a more energetic and always ready to go breed of dog. These dogs may tske some time and patience to deal with, but in the end it’s very rewarding when you make a new best freind. These are the dogs breeds that are the most energetic, but it’s just my opinion, feel free to disagree with me in the comments, hope you enjoy
1. Jack Russel Terrier

I chose this little guy as number one, because I know through personal experience, if you don’t keep this dog busy, he will run absolutely wild. The Jack Russel I had was ALWAYS ready to play or go running, but never rest. He required near constant attention, and I loved it. If you are on the fence about an maybe getting an energetic dog, these little guys are very loyal and intelligent; so it certainly wouldn’t be a boring experience to own a Jack Russel. The only thing I must add as a side note is: they are very assertive, you MUST make know you are the master early on, or it could lead to a disaterous relationship down the road. This is a very high energy level breed.
2. Miniature Schnauzer

This dog always struck me as cute because they are so tiny, yet look so old and wise. My opinions aside, this is also a very high energy level of dog. If not exercised properly, this breed may get destructive or mischevious as they don’t like to be cooped up for very long at all. This fella also almost made it onto my other dog list http://therealowner.com/pets/the-five-best-family-guard-dogs/ The only reason he didn’t is, of course, his small size. He makes a great seen but not heard guard dog, and he isn’t known for making excessive noise (eg doesn’t bark at everyday noises) But in any case this is an ideal dog for people looking for a small companion with plenty of energy.
3. American Staffordshire Terrier

This is a dog known, among other positive traits, for its high energy levels. Its a dog that craves to please its master and to always be around his family. He lovesto be played and exercise with those he lives with and can develop a very strong bond with those people. This breed has been known to get very rowdy after even one day with no walks or forms of exercises. This is a dog with an especially strong pack mentality, he craves order in his household. As with many other enregetic dog breeds, the humans must establish themselves to be higher up than the dog if the relationship is to be a healthty one.
4. Basenji

This is probably the most entertaining dog on this list. This dog LOVES to play, all the time no matter what. If he doesnt feel he’s getting played with enough, he’s been known to tease his owner into playing, so make sure your ready a handful if you decide to get one of these guys. Some more interesting things about this dog is instead of barking it makes a sort of howling sounds, and will even clean itself lie a cat. If your looking for an offbeat dog to keep you entertained and provide great companionship, this may be the choice for you. This breed can have high to very high energy levels depending on the individual dog.
5. Border Collie

Last but not least, is the Border Colie, a dog with a very high energy level. It’s high energy and need for a lot of physical activity is because its intended use is for herding. He has been known to chew holes in walls or dig holes out of boredom, and can dvelop neurotic behavior without enough exercise. This is a very athletic breed of dog who commonly competes in agility tournaments and other speed competitions. This is also a very highly inteligent breed of dog, sometimes considered the MOST intelligent breed of dog. In January of 2011, a Border Collie was reported to have learned 1.022 words and responded accordingly to humans speaking those words.
Hope you guys enjoyed reading, and if this gets as many view as the last one did, I’ll certainly keep the dog articles coming
