Pacman vs. Hitman
As to who’s going to win, your guess is as good as mine.

A few days from now, we will witness the biggest boxing event this year, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, the modern Filipino hero, pride of the Philippines and the world’s best pound-for-pound boxer, versus Ricky “Hitman” Hatton, the pride of Manchester, United Kingdom, with a record of being undefeated at 140 pounds.
Freddie Roach, Pacman’s trainer, predicts that Hatton will be knocked out in three rounds. Pacman is famous for his fast hands. You’ll never know what hits you and every punch is unpredictable and coming from all angles.
The “Hitman,” of course, disagrees. He claims that he has fast hands, too, which can more than match Pacman’s speed, adding that he is a much bigger and stronger opponent. He’s not worried about Pacman being a southpaw. He says he has sparring partners who are “clones” of Pacquiao. Roach, on the other hand, says he, too, has clones of Hatton as Pacquiao’s sparring partners.
The fight for Ring Magazine and IBO light welterweight belts is scheduled on May 2, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada at MGM Grand Hotel.
I suspend my prediction about this grand fight. I don’t want to be a killjoy. Sometimes, a lucky punch can send a heavily favored boxer sprawling clumsily on the floor. But if you ask me, my answer is, your guess is as good as mine.
