The Kent State University Dodgeball Club meets every Friday from 4-7pm in the Multi-purpose gym in the Rec. Center located directly off the schools campus. All are welcomed to partake in Dodgeball Festivities.
Official Dodgeball Rules:
- Respect your elders. Someone that has been there longer than you most likely knows what they’re doing.
- If a ball hits you off the wall in any way, you are OUT.
- You may block throws with a ball in your hand.
- If a ball deflects off another ball you or another player is using to block it, and hits you, you are OUT.
- If you catch a ball, the person who threw it is OUT. The first person out during the game may return to the playing field.
- You may catch a ball off the wall. The same catching rules apply.
- If you are hit anywhere in anyway by a thrown ball you are OUT.
- A ball is live until it hits the ground. 2 people can be out from the same throw if the ball bounces accordingly.
- If a ball is caught off another player, the player it hit is safe and the person who threw it is out.
- If you get hit in the head, the entire other team may come back in.
- If you get hit in the face, the other team wins.
- If you block a ball into your face or are hit in the face off the wall you are just out. No other penalties apply.
- The dodgeball club uses 8.5″ rubber playground balls.
