Jump rope training is very effective in sports that require speed, agility and endurance. Early in my training boxing training I jumped rope. This was a mistake. During sparring, I noticed that my legs were tired. I was focused on training the upper body and neglected my legs. Consequently, I could not plant my feet firmly on providing a strong punch. Learning my lesson, I picked up a few strips of leather, and went with my endurance training. If you want to work on the speed burst, pick up speed ropes. They are lightweight and consist of synthetic compounds that cleaves the air more quickly than leather. Whether you are training for agility, speed or endurance, jumping rope is a fantastic training. Good for boxers, football players, sprinters, almost any sport that requires speed and endurance.
Grab a pair of cords and keep them in your bag training. Take it wherever you go. Whenever you have a period of pause, skip rope. When you are in the bus stop, jump rope until the bus gets here. When you warm up, do some training jump rope. Do not be shy to jump rope in public. Just do it. I do and I actually get hired by pedestrians. Many people go and give me smiles and thumbs up. I get tons of “keep it up!” and “Good job!” Just do it. The hardest part is getting started. If you can not pick up some rope and jump, just “X” from this window and go elsewhere. When you start jumping rope, he tired quickly. Your hops will be slow, large and inefficient. As you train longer, your bins will be shorter, efficient and fast. Your mistakes will decrease and you will be able to jump without stopping for a longer period. When you begin, you mess up often. Pull yourself. A good way to keep your rhythm is due to expire in alternating jumps. Try to maintain a rhythm of buckets and your time with your breathing. After a few sessions, you will develop basic skills quickly. Aim to keep your rhythm going for at least 5 minutes. If you can spend 5 minutes without messing up your bins, you very well. When you train jump rope for a period of time, your body will get used to it and you will shed excess fat very quickly. It takes a lot of energy to jump. Once you enter the duration 5 minutes is when you become an intermediate rider.
