In the second round of group 2, Croatian national handball team has played against French handball team a crucial match to enter the European championships semi-final. We expected a tough game and so it realy was. Croatian handball team could be better at beggining of game, but still they had led, however, inconsistent judging criteria and a small drop in the form brings a led to the side of French handball team at halftime with the score 11:12.

And then came the second half. Judges have begun to judge much better and balanced, and then Croatian national handball team started to play much better and they were unstoppable. Goalkeeper of Croatia, Mirko Alilović has defended incredibly well, and all players have played brilliantly, they arrived and then surpassed the advantage of France. Best shooters for Croatian team were Marko Kopljar and Ivan Cupic with 7 goals each. The positive result for Croatian handball team began to rise, and who knows what would happen to France if was not the end of game. Croatia with an impressive game has fully deserved and easily defeated France with a score of 29:22. This game confirmed that we are ready to win European gold medal.
