Over the off season, there were many teams who made trades to make their team better and try to make a push for the championship at the end of the season. The biggest once (literal and figurative) is the trade the Cleavland Cavaliers made this off season signing the big diesel himself, Shaquille O’Neal. The fifth leading all time scorer teams up with King James to help him try and win his first crown. Shaq will provide Lebron with much more room than Lebron has had, as it will lead to more double teams in the paint leaving Lebron 1 on 1 which we all know he will score every time. Then you have the acquisition of Jamario Moon and Anthony Parker which will provide them with a huge spark off the bench. In my opp ion, the Cleavland Cavaliers will be the number 1 team and will win the NBA championship in the 2009-2010 NBA season.

Another huge trade made this off season was the acquisition the Orlando magic made. Signing the best dunker in NBA history Vince Carter. There was many question about this trade of how they were releasing they’re clutch scorer (He-do) who went to the Toronto raptors. They then pick up a big time play who will help them in they’re need for a big time scorer and the need for a player to take over. With the lineup of Dwight Howard, Vince Carter, Reshard Lewis, Jemeer Nelson, and Michal Pietrus they will be a force to compete with this season. In my prediction the Orlando Magic will be the fourth best team in the NBA, but I think they will get beat out by the Boston Celtics in the second round of the playoffs.

The Boston Celtics. People said they were done, they were too old to be able to do any damage to the big team, but they are very wrong. With a healthy KG back and having one of the best three point shooters in the NBA today. One of the best all around players in the NBA, and a point guard who is only on the rise. All this together which having a big Kendrick Perkins. With a huge man coming off the bench, Rasheed Wallace, he was one of the biggest signs of the off season and he will have a huge impact of this Boston Celtics team. Overall I think the Boston Celtics will be the third best team in the NBA this season, falling short in the Eastern conference finals to the Cleavland Cavaliers.

Then, you have the defending NBA champions, the LA Lakers. This team is by far the best overall having an above average player on the floor at all times. With the signing of Ron Artest giving some strong defence they will be a unstoppable force in the already beast western conference. With a starting lineup of Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, Ron Artest, Andrew Bynum, and Derek fisher, (all amazing players) they will be the second best team in the NBA, competing strong with the Cleavland Cavaliers. In my prediction, they will fall short in the finals to Lebron and give the King his first ring.
