No. 1 Tiger Woods (110 Million)

Tiger Woods is ranked as the worlds number 1 golfer and in 2009 will make an estimated 110 million dollars through his PGA and winnings and endorsement deals with Nike,General Motors, and American Express.  He has won a total of 14 Major Championships and 70 PGA Tour Wins.

No. 2 Kimi Raikkonen (51 Million)

Kimi Raikkonen is a formula 1 Race Car Driver and in 2007 was the Formula 1 Drivers Champion.  He is currently driving a Scuderia Ferrari and unlike other members of this list Raikkonen make the  majority of his 51 million dollars solely though racing.

No. 3 Kobe Bryant (45 Million)

Kobe Bryant is a basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers.  With his contract with the Lakers and his endorsement deals with Nike and Coca Cola Company he will make and estimated 45 million dollars in 2009.  He won a gold medal playing for the USA Basketball Team in the Beijing Olympics in 2008.

Micheal Jordan is the only retired athlete to make the top 10 list. With endorsement from multiple companies Micheal Jordan still makes around 45 million dollars a year mostly from his deals with Nike, Coke, and Gatorade.  He is a six time champion and 5 Time NBA MVP.

David Beckham is a soccer player for Los Angeles Galaxy.  He will make and estimated 42 million dollars in 2009.  He is known not only in the United States but all over the world.  He makes his million not only from his contract with the Galaxy but also through deal with Pepsi and sales of his fragrance.

Lebron James a basketball player for the Cleveland Cavilers.  He has won awards such as Rookie of the Year, and Most Valuable Player.  He has endorsement deals with Nike, Sprite, and Upper Deck.  He also won the gold medal as a member of Team USA in the 2008 Olympics.

Phil Mickelson is a American golfer and has been ranked as high as number two in the world.  Mickelson is known for being one of only a few left handers on the PGA.  He is third all time on the money list for the PGA Tour.  He has endorsement deals with Callaway and Rolex.

Manny Pacquiao better known as Pac Man is a professional boxer.  He was the WBC Lightweight Champion, and became the first boxer to win the lineal championship in four different weight classes.  He will make an estimated 40 million in 2009.

Fernando Alonso is a formula One Racing Driver who makes an estimated 40 million dollars in 2009.  He is the first driver ever to win a night race in formula one.  He currently races for Renault.

Valentino Rossi is a professional motorcycle racer.  He is and eight time World Prix Champion.  He makes 16 million every year with his endorsement with Yamaha.  He also has a deal with  Monster Energy Drink and makes million from licensing deals.
