We have seen many footballing teams and the very first thing we like about the team is the playing style of the team. Playing style of the team make them the winner and distict from all other teams. I have also seen great games with great style of play but what Brasil,Argentina,Italy and Spain do I always like.
Most of us know but for those who do not know let me tell you something about the soccer playing style that various nations and football clubs apply.There are basically three styles of football
Couter Attack Football : Counter Attack football is the style where long passes from either defender to the midfielder and towards the striker are made and striker should be capable enough to take the ball towards the opponent’s D and convert it into the goal . The teams who apply this style is Real Madrid . The greatest club of all times as we all know.
Possession Football : Another style of playing the football is the possession football which consist of keeping the possession through out the game and due to this consistency the side who posses more has lot of time to skilfully tire the opponent and ultimately responding with the goal. Spain , Italy uses this style of Play.
Direct Football : Another style of playing football is the direct football sometimes we call it the power game that is shown by the Germany. It consists of the long passes from one end to the other with speed and capability of the players to finish from the long distance as well.
How Spain Accompolished with Possession Football ?
Spain style of play is possession football more popularly known as tiki-taka. This consists of short passes with movement. When Clemente leaded Spain in the 2002 FIFA world cup held in korea and Japan and they lost after some time the new coach Luis Argones realised that the current style which Spain opt to play with is incapable to compete big guns. Spanish players were short they were incapable of power as tall players has, Moreover in power game (direct football) stamina is also needed which was still another minus point at the Spanish side.
So they decided to develop a style of play that could suit to the players who are not tall and has the skills to play great football and developed the tiki taka style of play at the Barcelona. Players like Iniesta , Messi , Febrigas , Hernandez are much capable to play the tiki taka at its very best. This style has been adopted for the first time in 2008 Euro Cup which Spain won and since then they never stopped. Argones when replaced by Vincete Del Bosque also focused on this style and under his guiding Spain has won FIFA world cup 2010 and Euro 2012 as well and really this new style of play has begun the Golden Era of football in Spain.
Spain has become the first team to consecutively won Two Euro cups and another great time makes hatrick is The FIFA World Cup. And this was all about the Champions who are still at their very Best.
