US Upset Over Spain in FIFA Semi-Finals

Can you believe it. The USA men’s soccer team beats Spain 2-0! If you know anything about soccer you would know that the US is clearly an underdog in this tournament. But when it came time they pulled through just enough to beat Spain. What this leads them to now is an even more relentlous match with Brazil. Now I know that this game was tough but just wait till they face off. Deep down I am a pure US men’s soccer fan, but if I had to bet money on either of these games, they wouldn’t be for the US to win. But so far they have proved me wrong.

All it took was for the US to score 1 goal and then everything just took off from there. Having that 1-0 lead at that point in the game was huge. It gives them confidence to build off of so that the rest of that game helped them play better balls and be smarter with the ball witch is an advantage you do not get as the team that is down. The team that is usually at the bottom has the opposite affect. They then need to step up and take more risks in order to gain back a chance to win. This can also result in deadly counters witch lead to the USA’s 2nd goal.
