The Barcelona striker may be going to Manchester United rather than City, and for a cheaper price.
Earlier this month, Manchester City made a £25 million bid for the Cameroon striker, but the offer was rejected and Manchester City pulled out of the chase for the Barcelona striker.
Manchester United are expected to make an £18 million bid for Eto’o
Manchester United would get Eto’o for a much cheaper price than Manchester City had offered, with the striker eager to play in the Champions League. A source in Spain suggested that United are prepared to offer Eto’o £150,000 per week, £50,000 per week cheaper than Manchester city eligibly offered.
Manchester City will now concentrate on wrapping up a Carlos Tevez deal, and focus on signing Chelsea’s John Terry.
