Now that 2 games have passed since I last wrote, we still don’t have a clear indication of who the 3rd team to be relegated will be. There are 3 teams in contention for 18th place: Bolton, Reading and Birmingham.
Bolton
A draw against Tottenham at the weekend is keeping them out of the relegation zone. With games against Sunderland and Chelsea left, a win in either game will be crucial to survival. 33 Points.
Reading
Also drew against Wigan at the weekend. They have the worst goal difference of the 3 teams, and their form hasn’t been great. I expect that Reading will be the team to go down. They have Tottenham and Derby left to play. 33 points.
Birmingham
Currently sitting in the relegation zone, they were unlucky to only manage a draw against Liverpool at the weekend. With Fulham and Blackburn remaining, they will be expecting to beat the drop. 32 Points.
