There is no dispute the commitment Tony Adam had for Arsenal. Being branded ‘Mr Arsenal’ by fans, there is no doubt he has red and white blood of Arsenal and wear the Cannon Batch with pride. Maybe because of the impact he had at the attacking department made him voted third in the 50 Greatest Players behind Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp.

Regard as the one-club man, Tony Adam has been the most loyal stalwart in Arsenal history. Joining Arsenal as a school boy at the age of 14 around year 1980, he made his first team appearances 3 years later at the age of 17. He became regular since 1988-86 season and was rewarded his first England cap against Spain in 1987.

Adams becomes the Arsenal captain since 1st January 1988 for 14 years. During his tenure he has guide Arsenal to 4 league title, 2 League Cup, 3 FA Cup and 1 UEFA Cup Winner Cup which include 2 League and FA Cup double for 1987-88 and 2001-2002 season. The only honour that eluded him was international glory.

He also won various individual awards himself. He has been awarded the PFA Young Players Award in year 1987. He was been selected in PFA Team Of The Year 3 times in year 1994, 1996 and 1997. His contribution in the game for almost 2 decades has earned him included in the Premier League Team of the Decade for the Premier League 10 Season Award. His final individual honour was being awarded Member in The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (2004).

Having played for Arsenal 672 times while scoring 48 goals, he finally make his bow out from football after the end of 2001-2002 season. There is just perfect way to end the outstanding and glorious career than lifting the League Winner and FA Cup Trophy.
