In my previous article “Ganguly Vs. Dhoni”, I have criticized Mahendra Singh Dhoni. I have raised several doubts on its capability to survive this cricket arena both as a player and as a captain.

I wrote the article “Ganguly Vs. Dhoni” on March 18, 2008, but now in Jan 2010 after around 2 years my viewpoint towards Dhoni has changed a lot.

One thing I would like to say that he has proved that that you can score half-centuries consistently even if you are a captain.

The things, which I like about him, are:

  1. He is a team player.
  2. He is a match winner.
  3. He is a player who keeps his mind cool even in the worst conditions.
  4. He is very good in handling pressure situation.
  5. His aggression is in his coolness.
  6. He is very consistent in scoring runs.
  7. He is up for any kind of challenge.
  8. He encourages youngsters.
  9. He is one of those Indian captains who were not afraid of oppositions.
  10. His policy of rotating players is good.

Therefore, these are some of the characteristics, which I like in Dhoni. I believe that he has potential to win World Cup 2011.
