Loyal or Kakas?
Kaka’s decision to remain at AC Milan and ultimately reject a £500,000 a week pay packet at Manchester City will bring an ongoing debate on whether the former FIFA World Player Of The Year has brought some refreshing loyalty to this money spinning game or is just plain ‘Kakas’.

I think the Brazilian has brought some much needed loyalty, heart and humanity to what is rapidly becoming a billionaire’s playground rather than the game that is English football. These multi billionaire’s come into a club and must write down there dream eleven, appoint their dream manager and then instruct him to fabricate this team of superstars. Chelsea done it with Abramovic and have become a hated team because of their superior finances.
It’s taking away the identity of football clubs and turning them into successful or unsuccessful companies who look to entice skilled workers with mind blowing salaries. In times of recession I think it is unforgivable for anybody to offer an individual £500,000 per week to play football, these figures you just cannot comprehend into a weekly wage.
Many fans will view this snub as crazy due to the sheer scale of money involved but I’d like to see this as a positive step for the game clearly stating to moneybags Manchester City that they cannot buy anyone they want and that club history, heritage and personality is still a vital part in a player’s decision on where they play.
Everyone has an opinion on this – so what is yours? I’m eager to know where we stand on this.
