Liverpool vs. Manchester United

Let us just analyze the elite league – The Premier league. Manchester United drew Liverpool’s record of 18 league title’s, which speaks for itself on how competitive the game is. The focus of this article is on the coming league fight. Will Man united snatch away a record the reds held for so long? Or will Liverpool turn it around in the next big big fight ? Or will they have to wait for another year ?

Probably your guess is as good as mine. If you analyze the previous season it makes you scratch your head if you are a Liverpool fan for a simple and very genuine reason – The reds lost the fewest, scored the most goals, played brilliantly as a unit, lead the league table even after Christmas. Still they somehow managed to loose! Wow that’s something to think about. If they could avoid a few stupid draws against Stoke, the season could have been much different. 

Now let us go to inspect the 09 Champions. They had a very shaky start. Never looked like scoring… but someone managed to turn this around even when the – he who claims to be the best – C.Ronado failed miserably. And that is my man for the year – Alex Ferguson. Just think about a Man united squad without him. Maybe you cannot even think about it.

Benitez vs Ferguson

Let’s just say that Ferguson is the better man. It is. I hate to say that ( being a Liverpool fan ) but …… All those stupid rotation policy has cost Benitez dear.

Gerrard vs C. Ronaldo

Well you may argue but Ronaldo just can’t match the class and quality of Steven Gerrard.

Verdict – Wait for the next year. Whoever wins the 2010 league will be declared as the best !
