Just eight months left for the 2010 world cup foot ball match, and South Africa is going to host it. Flight tickets are reserved all over the world by the foot ball fans to watch it live in South Africa. But even before the fire of match gets started, the coach Joel Santana, of South Africa team got fired on October 20th 2009.
The reason told for the exit of this 60 year old Brazilian is, the loss of eight games, in the last nine games. Raymond Hack, CEO of the South African Football Association announced the decision saying “Mr. Joel Santana is no longer the coach of our senior national football team”.

The termination came to immediate effect, after a meeting with Santana on Monday, which was widely expected all over the country, after the team got defeated in the friendly matches with Norway and Iceland.

Santa worked as South Africa’s coach for the past 18 months and he was 15th coach of the country. He was in charge of 27 matches out of which 10 were won by the team and 14 were lost. Three games were finished in draw.
Now the chance of becoming coach looks bright for Carlos Alberto, the previous coach who resigned in 2008, to take care of his wife, who got sick at that time.

As per people of South Africa, they believe that the changes will do well for the country and chances of winning games look brighter. But few fans were really upset and afraid, as the change is too late to do anything good for the team, as it will take time for the new coach to lead the team, after understanding the team’s strength and weakness. It is too late is what they said.
