Most observers agree that there was something not right about England’s team picture before their Euro 2012 opener against France.

The incomplete England team.
But when the time came for the official pre-match picture of the team, there was no question: something was not quite right.. somebody missing.. and his name was Glen Johnson.
The normal scenario after the National anthems have been sung is for the players to line up together for an official team picture, but for reasons so far known only to himself, the Liverpool right-back trotted off happily to continue his warming up.
Glen Johnson skipped away while the remaining ten men put on their best faces for the photograph, with Glen Johnson’s absence mainly noticeable because it also left Arsenal player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with a quite conspicuous gap behind him, or possibly on the other side, behind Manchester United’s Ashley Young!!
Luckily, that was the last time the 27-year-old went missing during the game: Johnson did an admirable job keeping France superstar Franck Ribery quiet in Donetsk, and looked dangerous when going forward as well.

I wonder what that was all about?
Hi Paul,
Some England players are not the brightest of individuals!!
Kind Regards,
Chris.
Great article Chris I missed this game as they did not broadcast it here in Canada so I thank you for the update.
Best Wishes
Steve
OOOPs! Looks like somebody was not paying attention!
Guess he was focused on himself…
Too bad for him.. But what happened to him really?
Thanks for sharing

Maybe he’s just there to play some footie, and not sing about a damn Queen that does nothing except wave and cost the country millions!
I wonder what happened to him when the photo was taken.
Chris, He must have felt that he needed the extra warm-up time to get done what he accomplished during the subsequent game!
Respectfully, and with many thanks for sharing, Derdriu
