Since “Kaka”ave been sold last summer to Real Madrid CF,AC Milan have been living very difficult moments. Apparently, those are the worst months in the club since Silvio “Berlusconi” took over in 1986. “Berlusconi” and “Galliani” did not want to purchase players during the summer transfer market, thus deciding on a more thrifty policy. We have to note that AC Milan earned 65 million euros from the sale of Kaka, 15 million euros from the sale of “Yoann Gourcuff”, a 25million euros due to direct qualification to the “UEFA” Champions League, and another 20 million euros for gaining the third spot in the Italian League; this would total a sum of 125million euros. If we subtract the 50 million euros of salaries, we would have 75million euros to deal with. Berlusconi decided not to invest heavily in the club as he always used to do. Therefore, 50 million euros went to cover the club’s debt. Milan was eventually left with a sum of only 25 million euros to invest on new players. So they bought “Klaas Jan Huntelaar” from Real Madrid CF for 17 million euros. If we subtract that amount from the 25 million, we would have 8 million euros left. The question is why didn’t AC Milan buy at least a left-back as was requested by coach Leonardo. Just 5 million euros could have secured a deal. That could have been”De Ceglie”, “Zuniga”( who went to Napoli ), “Caceres”( who went to Juventus ) or even “Maxwell”( who went to Barcelona).
