It all started, all the goals in the World cup final surprisingly scored in the first 20 minutes. First goal came from French Soccer Superstar Zinedine Zidane scored a penalty kick so its was 1-0 after 7 minutes. At the 19th Minute Italy corner kicker Pirlo swerved the ball into the penalty area and Marco Materazzi equalised with a header, so it was 1-1 after 20 minutes! At the 35th Minute Lucas Tony neared Scored for Italy, but it went off the crossbar! How unlucky. As we go into the second half, there were not really much chances in the second half, no one scored in the second half. But there was some substitutes. So in we go into Extra time, and Zidane almost grabbed a double when Buffon tipped the ball just over the ball from an Zidane header. But at the end of the Extra time Period 1, Zidane headbutted Marco Materazzi on the chest and got a red card, that means he is the 1st ever player to get a red card in extra time, World cup final. There were no more goals produced in the 2nd Period of extra time so in we go into the Penalty Shoot-out
First up, Pirlo for Italy, shoots, and scores! 1-0, Next up, Wiltford for France, shoots, and goal!! 1-1, then came Materazzi for Italy, the goal scorer in first half, shoots, and goal! 2-1!, then it was Trezeguet for France, shoots and it COMES OFF THE CROSSBAR, he missed!! That later proofed very costly as Italy scored all 5 spot kicks to win the world cup, that win also helped Italy go on top of the football rankings, but not for long though!
