Skiing is a release of all your emotions in one single turn. One single bump. One single breathtaking gasp at the mountain above you. Every little snowy crystal flares up and glints off of your goggles making you realize that no matter what happens. Being on that snow means you are going to have just another best day of your life. Small rollers or big jumps. Tree skiing or jibbing all day long. As long as you are enjoying yourself so is everybody else.
Ski culture is so different from being anywhere else. Everyone on the mountain is having a blast. Therefore, successively everybody is friendly and helpful to others. New and old skiers alike can all appreciate the majesty of the mountain and the amount of fun to be had there. Newbies, Joey’s, and Gapers are sometimes shunned in the ski community, but we must remember that we were all new once and that they are just up there to have a great time like anybody else.
Whether you are skiing the Chutes at Mt. Rose in Nevada, the great resort of Heavenly in California. The open bowls at A-basin, keystone, Breckenridge, Vail, and beaver creek in Colorado. The light powder of Utah. The icy hills of the east or the enormous mountains in Argentina the skiing is always the fuel for your delight.
With the advanced technology of skis nowadays it makes it easier and more specific to the type of skier you are and what you are skiing. There are big fat skis for floating in powder and long stiff skis for racing on ice. There are short flexible skis for skiing in the park and just about everything in between. Whether you are 3 years old or 90 years old there are skiers of all ages enjoy their time in the beautiful outdoors on the awe inspiring mountains
