Picking out the skateboard that is best for you!

  1. Well step 1 in picking out the right skateboard for you is the deck I will tell you from my experience that the deck makes insignificant difference you can get a deck from any good company like ccs, birdhouse, crooked, and so on.  Your board comes in sizes from around 7.5 width and 8.5 width, the wider the board, the harder to spin. But I do recommend getting a wider board if you have big feet for example I have size 12 feet and a 8.25 board.
  2. Next you need to pick out your trucks, my recommendation is independent trucks since they are the best there is and not too expensive. There is also sizing for the trucks, your trucks must be ¼ inch less than your board so if your board is 8.25 you need 8.0 trucks.
  3. Now you are ready to pick out your wheels, the company of your wheels does not really matter as long as you don’t get Wal-Mart wheels or something! The sizing of the wheels is what matters, wheels usually come in sizes 56mm to 48mm, and the smaller they are the lower your speed, but the higher you Ollie!
  4. Okay, here comes the most important part of your board! The bearings! These might be small, and a lot of people might not know what they are, but they are the most important part of your board period! The reason they are so important is because they are what makes your wheels spin, the better your bearings, the more speed you are able to get, and the less times you have to push yourself to get to where you want to go. Now yah you might want to get element, or ccs, or birdhouse bearings, but don’t never! Only get red bones bearings, they are better than 100$ element bearings, and they cost only 10-25$! There are also red bones Swiss for 45$ and red bones ceramic for 100$ don’t get these if you are a beginner because they will go so fast the board will slip from under your feet!
  5. Time to go buy that board and go to the skate park!
