Axe Kick is a great kick in tae-Kwon-Do that is occationally used to take your target off guard. Axe kick is mainly used to attack a targets shoulders or face.
How to perform the kick:
-Start you kick in kicking stance (Kicking stance is where you point one of your shoulders and your front at your target. Your back leg should be at a 90 degree angle from the front one).
-Point your toes on the foot that you don’t plan to kick with towards your target. Then rise your knee towards your target at about 90 degrees.
-Extend your leg up into the air as far as possible, then slam it down upon your target using the bottom of your heel.
