Yesterday, at the 2009 World Champions in Athletics in Berlin, Usain Bolt has broken another world record after he recently broke another record for running a 100m race in just 9.58 sec. The world record he broke this time is that he ran a 200m race in just 19.19 sec.

If you don’t know who Usain Bolt is, he is a Jamaican sprinter and an Olympic gold medalist. Bolt holds the world record for the 100 metres at 9.58 seconds, the 200 metres at 19.19 seconds and, along with his teammates, the 4×100 metres relay at 37.10 seconds. Bolt also holds the Olympic record in the 100 metres at 9.69 seconds and the 200 metres at 19.30 seconds. Bolt became the first man to win all three events at a single Olympics since Carl Lewis in 1984, the first man in history to set world records in all three at a single Olympics, and the first man to hold the 100 and 200 m world and Olympic titles at the same time. His name (an aptronym) and achievements in sprinting have earned him the media nickname “‘Lightning Bolt”.
The great thing is that he is 23 years old! That is quite a great age to break many records.

Well done Usain Bolt , You have definitely done Jamaica proud!
