The Joy of Joining Fun Runs
Why more and more people are into fun runs.

Our company had been one of the sponsors of a major fun run last May where the first 300 registrants get to join for free. I had grabbed such opportunity because first, it was for free, second because my body was dying to get some exercise and lastly there was really nothing to loose if I joined. Turned out such experience was one of the most enjoyable and memorable experiences in my life. And these were the reasons why :
1.You get to run at your own pace without any pressure coming from anybody. Perhaps that is why it is called fun run. You get to exercise yet still get to enjoy it at the same time.
2. You get to be with your friends and family members while getting fit at the same time. You not only support and bond with each other during the fun run but share the experience with them as well.
3. You get the to start your day right. Fun runs usually start at about 4:30 am here in the Philippines. Even you only run for 3 km, it helps your day start at the right track. You feel very light, fit and on the go, affecting your mindset and well being as well.
4.Because you have enjoyed the experience, you want to do it again. You become interested in the sport and other sports as well. You also become more aware of your health and its importance. You also find the time to squeeze it in your already tight schedule because you know the benefits you will gain from doing so.
5. You get to help other people. Fun runs usually are done for a cause and that is one great thing about it. Aside from getting fit, you also get to help others each time you join fun runs.
6.You become an advocate. You not just encourage others to join fun runs, you also write,tweet or share it in any site about your experience as well.
Of course, an advise from a doctor is necessary before one joins an exercise program or a fun run for that matter. As long as your doctor gives you the signal, then go for it. It will be an experience you will never regret.
