Inaugurated in 1985 and directed again this year by Graeme Lambert some 220 runners last year found it a likeable run. A fairly flat course, with very few traffic problems that borders McGillivray Oval, the Graylands and Swanbourne Hospitals, then returns along Stephenson Avenue, Underwood Avenue,Brockway and back to McGillivray. The race starts at 8.00am sharp from the main car park at McGillivray oval. This year a 5km event will be held along with the main feature. hot showers and toilet facilities are available at the club rooms.

Records: Male: Mark Altus 31.07 (1985) Female: Sue Turner 37.07 (1985).

A fairly fast two lap course along roads and cycleways throughout . The course is faily flat with a few hills in the first (and third) ten kilometres. Although a smallish field in 1985, 50% of runners did PB’s.

The course is well marshalled so as to prevent any traffic hassels. The weather is usually good, but can get a bit warm towards the end. Toilet and showers are available, along with the municipal pool. The bunbury Runners Club put on a good carbo loading show and post race function which is well worth being at. Last year Rolet de Castella (father of Rob de Castella) was guest speaker on the carbo night.

Race Director : Hank Stoffers. Records: Male : David Eltringham 2: 24:17 (1985) Female: Tessa Brockwell 2:50.03 (1984).
