Azalea Trail Run

Every year we have the Azalea Trail 10K and 5k Run here in Mobile Alabama. This year is no different than years past. The 33rd annual Azalea Trail Run will be held in Mobile Alabama on March 27,2010.

Every year we have the Azalea Trail 10K and 5k Run here in Mobile Alabama. This year is no different than years past. The 33rd annual Azalea Trail Run will be held in Mobile Alabama on March 27,2010.

The Azalea Trail Run will start on Canal Street and Claiborne and end on Government Street and Claiborne Street. The running course is a flat surface and water booths are provided all throughout the race. The 10K race will only last two hours and will close after the two hours has past. If you do not finish the race whthin the two hour limit you will be asked to move yourself to a nearby sidewalk.

For safety headphones, pets, roller blades, strollers, bicycles, or balls will not be allowed on the race course.

Walkers and race walkers that sign up need to sign up as a runner and all races will be judged.

The 10K wheelchair race  will not permit hand cranked wheelchairs to be involved in the race. Team applications must be in by March 20,2010 and the winning team will receive a nice plaque.

The Azalea Trail Run also has a 2K fun run. You can mail your registration to:

You can register at www.pcpacer.org or walk into Mc Coy Outdoor Company and register until 6 p.m. on Wednesday March 24, 2010.The late registration will be at the Mobile Civic Center from 12-9 p.m. on Friday March 26,2010.

    I have participated [jogged very slowly/walked] in events like this .. they’re a lot of fun and I’d do it again ~ a good guide and rules for participants and spectators Darrell :-)
