Free running is a form of urban acrobatics in which participants, known as free runners use the city and rural landscape to perform movements through its structures it incorporates efficient movements from parkour, such as vaults , roof jumping etc… and other acrobatics, such as tricking and street stunts creating an athletic and aesthetically way of moving, it is commonly practiced at gymnasiums and urban areas cluttered with obstacles.
Too put it simple its a sport in which you are pretty much doing parkour except not going from point a to point b as fast as you can instead you make it look cool by doing flips and other cool things on the way too fully understand it you will need to know what parkour is which is what it was developed from i will be writing about parkour after this, free running is a complicated sport and very dangerous its very easy to hurt yourself jumping roofs and doing flips on roofs as you can imagine and you can get in trouble with cops from being on the roofs.

Here are some movements used in free running
Reverse vault: Instead of monkey vaulting over a rail which is the most efficient way the athlete adds a 360 degree spin along the horizontal axis to make the move more aesthetically pleasing, as well as increasing co-ordination
Diving front flip: A front flip is executed over a wall or obstacle, usually with a large drop on the other side. It is referred to as a diving front flip ( or dive front) cause the athlete i required to dive over the obstacle before initiating the tuck.
360 wall run: this is similar to the wall run parkour technique , in which the athlete runs at a tall wall and pushes against the wall with their foot to propel themselves up the wall. the only difference between this movement and the 360 wall run is that a 360 degree spin is carried out after kicking off the wall and grabbing the top.
