A summary of the tri-nations so far and what the All Blacks are doing wrong. Will the All Blacks beat the Wallabies in the match for two and 3?

The All Blacks have not looked good through out the tri-nation’s series with only winning 2 out of their 5 games. The All Blacks have lost three games to South Africa two which were played in South Africa and one in front of a home crowed in New Zealand. Although the All Blacks have lost all their games to South Africa, out of the two games they have played against there arch rivals the Australian Wallabies they won both games. South Africa have won the tri-nations series comfortably with only suffering one loss. This leaves the All Blacks and the Wallabies to fight over the “wooden spoon” 2 place. This will take place on the 19 of september 2009.

The table as it is now

South Africa top: 21 points 5 wins 1 lost

New Zealand: 9 points 2 wins 3 lost

Australia bottom: 7 points 1 win 4 lost

Even though Australia are at the bottom of the table with only one win they have been very unlucky in several matches. Match one they lost 22-15 to the All blacks there was only one try in it which was scored late in the second half by the All Blacks. Match 5 where they lost 18-19 to All Blacks this was a very close tight game with only one point in it. Then the final match between Australia and South Africa they lost 32-25 which was only a try in it as well. This shows that the Wallabies have not being playing bad seeing all there results are reassembly close and maybe on occasions they have been unlucky.

On the other hand the All Blacks have not been playing to good with line outs and kicking being a big mess up through most of the tri-nations. Even though they have won 2 games all games against South Africa they lost by 2-3 tries which is alot. The All Blacks do have a new and out of practiced team so you can see why they do make mistakes but they should get there act together and start playing more to there strengths. For example when they are playing South Africa they give lots of penalties in their own half which Francois Steyn easily kicked over. Also what is the point of the All Blacks kicking the ball to from half way or 10 metre line straight down the middle of the field when Francois Steyn or one of South Africa’s other good kickers are going to kick the ball from their own 22 metre line to the All Black’s 22 metre line with a huge spiraling punt? Well if you ask me it seems like a waste of time but anyway they are the professionals.

Anyway hope you enjoyed reading my report on the Tri- nation’s and i think that the games for second and third will be very close. Will it be the Wallabies and Robbie Deans or the All Black’s and Graham Henry?

Your description of these particuliars was interesting so that even an outsider to the activities are able to get a little curious about what is going on in this part of the sports world.
