My Husband Loves the Cowboys or Temporary Insanity

I have to admit, I just don’t get it. Mans love of sport… and he isn’t even on the team. My husband loves the Cowboys. More than his T.V.? No way!! More than his family? I don’t even want to answer that question.

Every Sunday (Black Sunday) and sometimes Monday, I feel like I have to flee my home with my children like fugatives. It’s either that or dodge projectiles. Shoes, water bottles, pillows and most likely – the remote. (If anyone wants to invent a NERF remote, I’ll buy it.) We have had many remote casualties, one smashed T.V. tray and one window. (It must have broken when I tried to open it.) If men love sports so much why do they get so angry? and moody? It’s the equilalent of male PMS but it’s once a week or more. I have to admit, I would be a happier wife without sports on television. I have tried to share the experience with my husband but was banned from the room for “talking” and “moving around” so I gave up.

 Wouldn’t it be great is if we, the family, played sports together. I mean… teach the love of the game to your children instead of teaching your four-year-old to say, “Romo sucks!” and we’ll all get some exercise.
